Energy Efficient Doors
In the coming year additional pressure is going to be put on everyone to become more energy efficient. Whether this pressure comes from governmental bodies or your customers just wanting to get on top of the rising energy costs, energy efficient doors will need to feature in your plans.
The latest revisions to building regulations mean energy efficient doors will be made mandatory. As an imminent introduction of the U value for doors means all new doors will need to have a value of 1.8W/m2K or less (the current standard for windows). We think this is a logical step as there’s not much point in insulating your roof and walls and having ‘A’ rated windows if your door isn’t energy efficient too - heat will find the least insulated point and escape through it.
All Door-Stop doors meet the strict new U value heat loss standards, and each new Door-Stop energy efficient composite door ordered on line will come with its very own certificate of compliance , all independently verified by the Building Research Establishment (BRE).

From day one we chose to use a calcium zinc based compound in the extrusion of the door frame because it's much kinder to the planet than lead based additives.
The door's inner rigid foam system is completely, utterly, 100% CFC-free.
And we've taken big steps to reduce our own carbon footprint too. Door-Stop doors are made right here in the UK, we carefully plan all our delivery routes to cut down the amount of fuel we use.
